Pittsburgh, PA, March 06, 2020– Resnick Roofing and Contracting, LLC is excited to announce the launch of their solar roofing division. Through GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, they are now able to provide premium solar integrated roof panels to single family homeowners in the greater Pittsburgh area. RRC customers can now get a new roof that is energy efficient.
GAF’s 2017 breakthrough in solar roofing technology: the DecoTech™ Roof-Integrated Solar System couples innovative, attractive, and affordable solar technology with fast, safe, and easy installation by factory certificed roofing contractors.
Designed to provide an attractive, low-profile alternative to typical rack-mounted solar panels (which are typically suspended above the roof’s shingles and require flashing), the DecoTech™ System is integrated directly into the roofing system. The premium solar panels are designed to optimize power output. Robust flashing and a sleek black perimeter shield reduces the risk of leaks and animal intrusion, while creating a monochromatic profile that helps blend the Deco Black panels into the roof for maximum aesthetic appeal.
“Affordable, effective, and visually appealing solar has been one of the most talked-about promises in the roofing industry,” said Anthony Ruffine, GAF Vice President of Renewable Energy & Strateg
“Utilizing GAF Energy’s solar technology, we will continue to deliver on our primary value proposition of providing our customers with the best products, the best installation, and the best warranty. And, we are now able to elevate the current energy platform by delviering single source accountability relative to the roof and solar system” says Adam Resnick, CEO of Resnick Roofing and Contracting. “We’re proud to partner with GAF Energy on this new solar adventure. It not only sets us apart from other roofing and solar contractors, but also allows us to provide an incentive of energy cost savings with a positive environmental impact to our customer base.”
Tax credits are available for Pennsyvlanian’s in 2020. A federal tax credit eligibility of 26% is offered for the gross project cost. Pennsylvanians are also eligible for Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs). The SREC program allows homeowners to receive credit/even return in cash for the energy that their solar panels have generated. There is no expiration or max amount for the SRECs and each SREC is valued at a fluctuating market price. With utility prices soaring, the return on investment for solar panels in Pennsylvania is one of the best in the U.S.
